MENS
Bendigo District Cricket Association Competition

The 2021/22 BDCA consists of one-day matches only, due to concerns about possible lockdown restrictions through the pandemic. Bendigo CC has teams entered in all senior men’s competitions. 1st XI matches begin at 12:30 pm, generally finishing around 6:30 pm; as do 2nd XI matches. These matches are limited to 45 overs per side. 3rd XI matches are played at the same venue as the 1st XI, commencing at 8:15 am and finishing around 11:45 am. These are 25-over matches. Finally, our 4th XI matches are played on synthetic pitches from 1:30 pm and are limited to 35 overs per side.
Matches are primarily played on Saturdays, although occasionally Sunday matches may be scheduled. Whilst these grades are primarily considered to be a male players competition, there is no restriction on female players competing and we are proud to have had females represent the club in our 3rd & 4th XI teams to date.
Our current senior men’s coach is Tony ‘Noony’ Ryan, and our captains are: 1st XI (Sir John Leinhop Shield) – Nathan Fitzpatrick, 2nd XI (Jack Kidd Shield) – Joel Mortimer, 3rd XI (Arthur Lee Shield) – Liam Gaskell, 4th XI – Peter Kirkwood.
