About Us
GROWING & DIVERSE CLUB
Our club is proud to offer playing and volunteering opportunities to anyone who loves the game of cricket, and to those seeking to make new friends and find their ‘home away from home’. We measure our success through the relationships we form and maintain, along with our on-field results. All are welcome, and we would love you to join our family.
The Bendigo Cricket Club recently celebrated its 125th year during the 2018/19 season and is proud to have been affiliated with the Bendigo District Cricket Association since 1907/08. Formed in 1894/95 as the Forest Street Methodist Comrades, our club has been known as the Bendigo Cricket Club since 1924/25.
Our primary playing ground is the North Bendigo Oval in Atkins Street, Bendigo, having recently relocated from the Queen Elizabeth Oval. Our modern training facilities are also based at the ground, and our primary junior ground – Shadforth Park- is adjacent to the main arena. Bendigo Cricket Club currently have teams entered in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th XI BDCA competitions; along with two female teams in the senior women’s competition. We are also represented by junior teams in the Under 18, Under 16, Under 14, Under 12, Under 11, and Master & Junior Blaster competitions.

CLUB VISION
LEVEL 3 ACCREDITED COACH
Access to a high-level coaching team including two very well-known figures within the BDCA, brothers Tony & Mark Ryan who both have attained Representative (Level 2 coach) accreditation through Cricket Australia. Tony & Mark have had much to do with nurturing and mentoring junior players in the Northern Rivers region through their pathways, and current 1st XI player and captain Nathan Fitzpatrick is the Regional Talent Coach for Northern Rivers in 2021/22.
OPPORTUNITIES
Access to start of the art practice facilities built in 2018 and located at North Bendigo Oval. This includes a quality bowling machine, and our facilities are at least the equal of any found in Bendigo and superior to many rivals. Our centre wicket square was completely renovated prior to the 2020/21 cricket season and is producing turf surfaces to satisfy both batters and bowlers; ensuring most matches ‘go the distance’. And recent helpful weather has ensured that the North Bendigo Oval surface is in as good a condition as it has been for at least twenty years.
